V Symposium on Publishing and Education > Reading with gender perspective
Since 2015, GREPAI (Research Group on Education, Heritage and Intermedia Arts) and the Independent Publishers Book Fair Liberisliber organize an annual symposium discussing different aspects of the pairing publishing and education and the impacts and synergies generated by the work of both sectors.
Gender perspective has gathered much force in recent years. Also in children’s and young people’s literature, an increase in rather explicit titles has been noticed. However, beyond what might seem a trend, it is necessary to go into and discuss the actual advances in this field: which should be the features of the 21st century female protagonists and antagonists?
